How to Install a Wireless Telephone Jack System

Telephone systems today are now available in either wireless or wired. Wired systems are a bit cumbersome as you still need to map up the location of the home telephones and wire them. You may need an expert to perform the installation procedures.

Installation is one of the major perks of the wireless ones. It allows flexibility too as you can put the handsets anywhere in the house for as long as it is within its transmission range. If you are using expandable phone structures, you can even maximize expand the hand phones to a few more.

Step 1: First, find out where you are going to place the main base station. It should be the right place where it can transmit even signals all over the house. One good place is your library or you home office.

Step 2: If you have already an existing telephone system installed in your home, the wired ones, that is, unplug the phone jack and attach it to the jack outlet in the main base station. The other end of the jack should be connected to a wall jack that should already be installed. You can refer to the manual if this process is really necessary as some will require you to plug specific phone jacks.

Step 3: Now you can connect one phone to the base station using another jack. Plug the power socket of the base unit to a power outlet.

Step 4: Now you can place other devices such as a fax machine or a modem or a router. Naturally, you would want to install extension units. As soon as you have already installed the base station, the wireless hand sets should already pick up signals.

Step 5: Check all your wireless devices and find if they are working. If there is a dial tone on every one of the hand sets, then they are already working perfectly fine.

You should refer to the manual for more details on the installation of the wireless telephone structure brand you have purchased. Also figure out the battery life of the handsets so you can charge it.

Before buying, make sure that the features will provide you with more convenience than your previous brand. Caller ID and call waiting features as well as an answering machine is a good choice for home communication needs. So now that you know how to install properly, you can now get to the business of setting up your home phone system.
